And so it begins

So, I have started another blog...but for a very good reason.

For anyone who does not yet know, I am preparing to spend a semester studying abroad in New Zealand and I am soo so excited! I'm going as a part of my Elementary Education program at BYU. When I arrive I'll get to teach in their schools, learn from their teachers, meet the little students, and travel all over the country. Annnnnd I'll get to see all those places that Frodo walked on his way to destroy the one and only ring.

I first heard about this study abroad opportunity my sophomore year when I went to an orientation for my program. Because my dad served his mission there (30 years ago!) he was all for me going.

The craziest part is that I'm leaving in less than a month. I am soo excited! It seems like it's something I've been thinking about for almost two years now and I can't believe that the time to go is creeping up on me. I'll be leaving on January 2nd and I'll arrive in New Zealand on January 4th. That's right, I lose one day of my life. (I'll get it back when I fly back though). I'll be coming back on April 6th. Since I'll be out of country for approximately 3 months with no phone I thought it might be a nice idea to keep those who want to know updated on my life. So here it is, all my adventures. I'll try to post pictures and update regularly. Just keep checking!
